He's Here!

By Amy

(I have to admit that I delayed posting these pics because I was so enjoying the comments we were getting from our previous post!)

Meet Snowball! He's our new little bundle of joy! Our kids absolutely LOVE him! He's sweet, soft, clean, and fun!

While my parents were here, we saw some bunnies for sale and my kids fell in love! (And, so did I, I must admit!) The only problem was -- we were out of town. I wasn't ready to deal with the logistics of having a cage-less bunny in a hotel room and on the train... (nor did I want to carry a big cage on the train with all our other stuff!) So, I asked Leigh where we could buy one in our town. She recommended a "Sunday-Only Market." "But," she warned, "there are a lot of people there." Sure, but there are a lot of people everywhere in this country, I reasoned....

Lesson Learned: When a local warns of a lot of people...there are A LOT OF PEOPLE! This was the most crowded place we've ever been! It was fun getting to look at and pet lots of different animals (dogs, cats, birds, fish, etc.) but it was insanely busy! I'm thankful we didn't lose a kid in that place! Brad and I both agreed that was a once-in-a-life-time experience for our family!

Savannah has decided that Snowball is the best thing in the world! I cannot tell you how many times a day she runs to me saying, "Mommy, Snowball loves me! He just hopped in my lap, (or) was kissing me, (or) snuggled up to me because he didn't want me to put him down!" He has stolen my daughter's heart!

(Obviously Snowball is a true Morello as he too, loves crocs!)

I'm sure many more pics of snowball will be in future posts -- if he lives that is! Everyone I've asked about buying "Special-made-for-bunnies-food" says that doesn't exist here. So, right now he's living on a diet of carrots, lettuce, apples, and grass/flowers from outside. Any suggestions?

Great story and very catchy lead into it! It is one cute bunny that goes with adorable children! Great match Amy and Brad!

He is absolutely, without a doubt, the cutest little guy I've ever seen. I've had 2 bunnies (one a dwarf that looked a lot like Snowball, and a mini lop), and neither of them were the epitome of bunny-ness. He is perfectly round, with the little pink nose and super-soft ears. He looks soooooo sweet! Just like a picture book bunny.

And I'm so glad you didn't lose any children in your quest for this furry addition.

Well done, my friends. Well done.

You guys are so brave! I almost bought one the other day, but figured we needed to wait until the smallest one is a little bigger. I'm jealous!!

What a cutie... all three of them!! I have a bunny and have researched a ton! Lettuce is great for them, just not romaine, it has no nutrients, greens are better, if you can. Carrots are great too... regular, non-baby carrots, that is, they have more nutrition. Did you know you can litter train them too? Mine is and it isn't hard to do... and its less mess:) (and stink!) Snowball is a cutie and so tiny, I love it!! I am glad you all are doing good. I can send some pix of our 3 month old now if you'd like, there are a few on my blog and I will update it again soon. Here is a web site for the bunny I hope you find helpful:) http://www.rabbit.org/ Take care!! We love and miss you all:)
